Introduction

This page lists the ways in which this site captures and uses your personal information, and when it sets cookies in your browser.

Personal Information

The only personal information we capture is via our mailing list. We do not share any personal information with any third party services we use. See the relevant section below for further details.

Cookies

We use two cookies that support the primary functioning of the website. cookieconsent_status is used to track your cookie consent response. __cfduid is used to support content delivery of some elements from Cloudflare.

In addition, we use two third party services that set cookies - Google Analytics and a Twitter widget. See the relevant sections below for further details, including how to prevent these two organisations tracking your activity across the web (including this site).

Details

Mailing List

When you sign up to our mailing list, we capture your e-mail address solely for the purpose of sending your notifications when the site is updated. We will not use your e-mail address for any other purpose, and we will not share or sell your email address. You can un-register from our mailing list at any time here, at which point your e-mail address will be deleted from the mailing list.

We use MailChimp to manage our mailing list, and your e-mail address is held securely by them on our behalf. They also generate and send all emails sent to the mailing list and provide associated analytics. See the Mail Chimp privacy policy for details on how they manage your personal information.

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand the usage of this site. This involves setting a number of first party cookies to enable us to differentiate unique users and to see how our users navigate through the site.

We do not send any personal identifiable information to Google. We ask them to anonymise all collected IP addresses (see here for details), and we disable all advertising features (see here for details).

Twitter Timeline Widget

We use the Twitter timeline widget on our homepage for showing our recent tweets. This sets a number of cookies that allow Twitter to track your activity across the web and their apps.

We ask Twitter not to track your use of this site for the purposes of generating personalized suggestions or adverts (see here for details).
